a. Obtain a cable with two #18 AWG insulated copper wires (colored red and black) and terminate
one end with a 2 socket female connector provided with the unit.
b. Turn
tHost™
power switch OFF
c. Connect the cable to the fuse panel terminals
d. Connect DC to the unit using the DC connector installed in step a above.
e. Install fuses in the external fuse panel
4.2.3 Optical Attenuator
If the long reach SFP optical transceiver modules are installed in a
tHost™
and
t43™
remote proper care shall be
taken to ensure that the optimum optical signal level reaches the optical receiver. An LC/UPC optical attenuator
shall be installed at each
tHost™
SFP optical interface to ensure that receiver is in the operating range when
short length optical fiber runs are used between
tHost™
and
t43™
remote units.
