4 Dashboard
The
Dashboard
icon
shows status tiles for the Video Image Processor (VIP). These
status tiles include standard tiles that are always visible and an
Important Messages
tile
that is shown only when an important setting has been changed recently within the
configuration settings. Refer to

Dashboard Tiles
Most of the dashboard status tiles are interactive; click an interactive tile to open an
operational window or menu item. The
Important Messages
tile and two other tiles
(
Storage
and
Memory
) provide information only. When the cursor is placed over an
interactive tile, the arrow changes to a hand symbol
👆
. If the tile is not interactive, the
cursor remains as an arrow symbol. Clicking an open circle at the bottom of any tile
opens another page of information within that tile.
• Important Messages
- This tile warns the operator that an important setting has
changed. The number of important messages is indicated by the number listed at the
top of the tile and the dots at the bottom of the tile. Refer to the
Important Messages
. Normally this tile is not present.
•
Identification
- This tile provides the processor’s descriptive data including the name,
ID number, and description. Click this tile to open the
Identification
link under the
Configuration
menu.
• Time
- This tile shows the current date, time, and time zone. Click this tile to open the
Time
link under the
Configuration
menu.
• Network-Ethernet
- This tile shows network device and address information. Click this
tile to open the
Network
link under the
Configuration
menu.
• Firmware
- This tile shows the current version of VIP firmware and display firmware.
Click this tile to open an operational window that allows a VIP firmware update.
• Storage
- This tile shows how much file storage is currently being used and how much
is available on the VIP.
• Memory
- This tile shows how much memory is currently being used and how much is
available on the processor.
