1.1 How to Use This Manual
This manual explains the setup and configuration of the VIP 4500 series using the Venus
®
7000 software, V-Tour
®
,
and Tera Term
®
. Specifically covered are instructions on first-time
setup and use as well as initial power-up procedures. For a complete command reference that
describes all configuration options refer to
Section 10: Command Reference
.
Important Safeguards
• Read and understand these instructions before installing.
• Do not drop the VIP 4500 processor or allow it to get wet.
• An ambient temperature range of -20°C (-4°F) to 40°C (104°F) is recommended.
• Disconnect power to the VIP 4500 processor when not in use.
