VIP 4500 Configuration Using V-Tour

5.1 The V-Link Window
Follow these steps to configure the VIP:
1.
Enter the desired
name
for the processor. Use descriptive names (e.g., VIP, Left VIP,
Right VIP).
2.
Choose
Network
or
Serial
in the Communications
box.
a.
If Network is chosen, enter the corresponding IP address.
Note
: Use the buttons on the front panel of the VIP 4500 console to scroll through
the options until the IP address is found.
b.
If Serial is chosen, select the Port.
Note
: The port must be different than the port selected in the display window.
3.
Choose the V-Link Type. Refer to the series number on the console face.
4.
Click
Next
. The Summary
window opens.
