Parking the Lift Truck
NOTE:
Park the lift truck level with the fork lowered
and the mast tilted forward until the fork
touches the floor. Block the drive wheels
when parking on an incline.
1.
Park in an authorized area only. Do not block
traffic. If LP - Gas equipped, do not park near
elevator shafts or any other area where LP - Gas
could collect in a pocket (low area), causing a
potentially dangerous condition.
2.
Place the transmission controls in NEUTRAL.
3.
Engage the parking brake.
4.
Tilt the mast forward and lower the fork to the
ground.
WARNING
Blocking the wheels will prevent unexpected lift
truck movement, which could cause personal
injury.
5.
Turn the key in the ignition switch to the OFF
position and remove the key.
NOTE:
If a LP - Gas equipped lift truck is stopped
or parked for an indefinite or prolonged
period of time, shut off the LP - Gas fuel
tank valve.
6.
Actuate each loading lever several times to
remove the residual pressure in the respective
cylinders and hoses.
If Parking Brake Alarm Equipped
WARNING
When leaving machine apply parking brake!
Parking brake is not automatically applied.
Alarm will sound if parking brake is not applied.
