path name or partial name. For partial path name, it indicates the file is in the current directory.

Only Administrators and Operators can issue this command.

Description
This command is used to format a specific drive.
Format
format <drive_id> {[fat16 | fat32]} {<label_name>}
Parameters
<drive_id>
- Specifies drive to be formatted.
fat16
- Specifies a FAT16 file system
fat32
- Specifies a FAT32 file system
<label_name>
- (Optional) Enter the label for the drive here. This value can be up to 8 characters
long.
