DVC-000 User’s Manual
Your Internet Service provider may require you to provide a
host name to connect to the Internet. If this is required, you
can enter it here.
MAC (Media Access Control) is a unique identifier for the
Ethernet network hardware of your DVC-2000. If you need to
know the MAC address of your DVC-2000, it can be found on
this screen.
Network Address
The
Network Address
screen asks for the information that is necessary to connect a
DVC-2000 call over the Internet. There are three types of network connections to choose
from:
DHCP
,
Fixed IP,
and
PPPoE
. If you do not know which to choose or you do not
have enough information to complete this section, please contact your ISP (Internet
Service Provider) or Network Administrator for assistance.
DHCP
Choose DHCP when connecting directly to a broadband modem that offers dynamic
IP addressing or when behind a router/DHCP server configured for DHCP.
