When you first connect your DPH-300 phone to the Internet through a Cable or DSL
modem or a router, it will automatically contact the D-Link IP Network Manager
service and complete the first half of the process required to allow you to begin
making IP telephone calls.
The first half of this process is called, “auto-provisioning” and involves identifying the
presence and status of your DPH-300 for the mydlink global Internet telephony
system. This part of the process is completely automatic once the DPH-300 is
successfully connected to the Internet.
The auto-provisioning process may take a minute or so to complete. While the unit
is auto-provisioning, the handset LCD will display
“Searching. . .”
and both the power
and WAN LEDs on the base unit will flash. When the auto-provisioning process is
complete, the handset will display
“D-Link”
and the LEDs will stop flashing.
After you have completed the setup and auto-provisioning processes and your
phone is ready to use, you should note the following information:
