System and Event logs
The CTM-200 logs operating system events as they happen. The most verbose log is the system log or
syslog. The syslog captures all device events as they occur. The system log is volatile; the contents of the
system log are lost on a power reset. Syslog can be captured to a file or connected computer for persistent
logging
The Event log is a non-volatile log that logs and optionally reports all important firmware events such as
cellular/wifi network connectivity, firmware generated power cycle, firmware updates, etc.
The event log will grow until cleared or it will roll over when its memory capacity is reached (> 1 year of
logging). Event logs can be automatically delivered via the CTM-200 reporting system.
