NOTE
For optimal results, use acetone with 0.5% or lower water content,
which is available at most camera shops. If unable to obtain acetone
with 0.5% or lower water content, contact Cutera Service
(refer to
Appendix D)
.
NOTE
Use only wood stick cotton swabs. Do not use products such as Q-
Tips, as they contain an adhesive that dissolves when it comes in
contact with acetone.
1. Ensure that the system is turned off or is in STANDBY mode.
2. Using a separate wood stick cotton swab for each lens, place a small amount of acetone on
both swabs. If necessary, shake off the excess acetone prior to cleaning the lenses.
3. Gently wipe the surface of each lens.
4. Inspect the lenses. If necessary, clean the lenses again with new cotton swabs.
If the lenses cannot be cleaned, contact Cutera Service
(refer to Appendix D)
for lens replace-
ment.
NOTE
The lenses must be clean before treating a patient. Chips, pits,
cracks or burned spots on the lenses are not acceptable, and lenses
with these types of defects must be replaced. If debris cannot be
cleaned off the lenses, the lenses must be replaced.
