• If you don't adjust the level of browning, the default setting is medium.
For lighter browning, push the button as often as necessary. For
darker, push the button. The oven will store the selection in its
memory until it is adjusted.
• Push the O/I button to begin.
• At the end of the cycle, the oven will beep 5 times then turn off.
• To stop the oven before the end of the cycle, push the O/I button.
Note: The timer cannot be used with the function. The cooking time
adjusts automatically according to the level of browning programmed.
6. The combinable function buttons
The button can be used alone or in combination with the
buttons.
By pushing the combinable buttons, the required time adjusts
automatically depending on the type of bread and the level of browning
desired:
• The button: increases the time for toasting 4 to 6 slices at once,
or for toasting very thick slices. The button can be combined
with all other buttons.
• The button: this selection adds the time required for darker
browning, or to toast buns or thicker slices. This button can be used
in combination with the button and the button (e.g., for
defrosting and then toasting to a dark brown a single slice). Can also
be used with the and adjustment buttons.
• The button: adds the time required for first defrosting and then
toasting the bread. Can be combined with the button (to defrost
several slices), the button (to defrost buns) and the and
adjustment buttons.
• The button: lets you reheat without toasting a second time. Can
be combined with the button only.
A light indicates the button(s) selected.
N.B.
• If no adjustment is made, the default level of browning is set at
medium.
• Any adjustments to browning using the and buttons will be
saved in the memory until they are adjusted again or if the oven is
unplugged.
• The selected combinable functions are not saved in the memory.
4. CHEFS TIPS AND HINTS
• It is unnecessary to preheat the Cuisinart® multifunction oven, its
capacity allows for instant cooking.
• This oven is a good replacement for a microwave oven; it defrosts or
reheats quickly without changing the quality of food.
• The time required for perfectly browned toast depends on the type of
bread and the freshness of the slices. Allow more time to toast thicker
slices or fresher bread than for toasting dry bread.
• Rolls, pastries or thick slices should be toasted longer. First, use the
button and then adjust the browning level according to taste.
• To toast croissants, cut in half horizontally and push the button. If
you only want to reheat them, use the button.
