2. INTRODUCTION

You have just bought a Turbo Steam steamer from Cuisinart®. This

appliance is a quality tool that will allow you to realize all kinds of

preparations rapidly and very easily.
Steam cooking is very healthy as it does not necessitate the use of fat

and preserves the flavour and properties of the foods. Thanks to the

convection system, the air is distributed uniformly, allowing quicker

steaming, without having to mix or turn over the foods during

the cooking process. The large capacity bowl allows to prepare a

complete meal in only one go.
All dishes are henceforth within your reach!

3. USING THE APPLIANCE

A. Assembly and use

1. Place the base of the appliance on a flat surface. Avoid installation

under a piece of furniture as steam might damage it. Now place

the larger tray on the base and then the foods in it (see also the

steaming guide on page 9). If you wish to use the second tray,

place it above the first one and fill it. It should be supported by the

lip of the plate and the handles should be lined up.

N.B. the large tray should always be placed on the base in the first

place. Do not place the small tray directly on the base.
2. To remove the water tank, pull it upwards. Turn it over and unscrew

the stopper. Fill the tank with water, place the stopper and replace

the tank.

3. Place the lid on the tray, then the fan above it. Make sure the fan

is well pushed in the lid and the lugs are correctly placed at the

back. Press slightly to place the fan correctly.

4. Plug in the appliance. It is now ready for use.

B. Using the starches bowl

1. To cook starches that absorb cooking water, such as rice, add

water directly in the bowl, with the starches. Once filled, the

starches bowl is placed in the large tray. For the water volume

to be added, refer to the cooking guide on page 9.

2. Place lid and fan and connect the appliance.
Do not use the appliance without its lid.

IMPORTANT: throughout the use, do not touch the base, trays or lid
in order to avoid any risk of burn.
