It can be selected a minimum of 1 to a maximum of 9 consecutive
measurements.
“
Warm up
” If this menu option is selected, the instrument does not acquire
measurement data until the difference between the temperature of the
material and the internal temperature of the sensor is less than the "W_up
offset" parameter. This allows to obtain a more accurate measurement.
“
W_up offset
” This parameter defines the acceptable temperature difference
between the material and the sensor. The lower it is, the greater the accuracy,
though a certain initial interval is necessary to warm up the sensor.
“
Speed/Accuracy
” This parameter allows changing measure's parameters in
order to balance the speed and the accuracy of the measurement. Value goes
from 1 to 5. The lower value gives more accurate measurement but reduces
the measurement speed.
Is recommended to use the lowest value when possible. Selecting value 1, in
case of noisy measure due to high stock activity, water line, etc. the
instrument might go in time out.
The message “
ERROR, CHECK CONNECTION
“ is shown if the control unit
enters into “time out”, while the sensor has difficulty to “lock” the reference
sample to start the measurements. This might happens i.e. in case of high
turbulence positions or where the mass variance is important (i.e. on the water
line). In this case a higher speed/accuracy must be selected.
CAUTION!
This command writes a new set of parameters directly in the sensor
head. Don’t disconnect the sensor head during the update! The risk
is the instrument may not work properly.
The success of operation is showed by the message “Done”.
CAUTION!
If you are doing a calibration set this parameter to 1 to get the best
accuracy!
“
Pulp grade
” If this option is selected, for each samples of the measurement
is applied a correction to get the best accuracy with pulp grade machine, or in
general, with high paper weight (above 500 g/m2).
“
Continuous measure
” If this option is selected, after the first measure of
the series, is performed a continuous data acquisition from the sensor in order
to make a water density profile along the cross direction of the “forming
fabric”.
