Console commands are provided for advanced programmers. However, most
functions and commands can be selected from the various Viewport menus.

NOTE:

For more information on console commands, refer to the 2-Series Console

Command Reference Guide (Doc. 6002). The latest version can be obtained from the
Downloads | Product Manuals section of the Crestron website (

).

Switching Between Master and Slave Mode

The MC2E can be used as a stand-alone master control system running control logic
to support any of Crestron’s network devices. The MC2E is also capable of running
in slave mode so that it can be used with an existing 2-Series control system in a
similar fashion to a standard Isys

®

touchpanel. Refer to the following to set the

MC2E to master or slave mode operation.

Master Mode:

From Viewport console, type: CNETID 02 (02 is always the master)

Slave Mode:

From Viewport console, type CNETID XX (where “XX” is any valid Cresnet ID,
e.g. any number from 03 to FE, designated as slave mode).
In slave mode, the MC2E operates as a Cresnet device as part of a 2-series control
system. For example, the MC2E can be part of a control system that includes IR,
serial, Cresnet and RF devices, with touchpanels that operate the MC2E through the
master 2-Series control system. RF devices use the MC2E as a gateway to the master
control system.

NOTE:

The MC2E can only be controlled by a 2-Series control system.
