Adaptive Bit Rate
Adaptive bit rate functionality enables a DM NVX transmitter to automatically set the bit rate
required for the input resolution of the stream; for example, the adaptive bit rate for a common
resolution such as 1920x1080p@60Hz (1080p60) is automatically set to 400 Mbps. Adaptive bit
rate makes better use of the available bandwidth.
The following table lists common resolutions and the associated adaptive bit rate setting.

Enable or disable adaptive bit rate using the web interface or SIMPL Windows.
Using the Web Interface
Enable or disable adaptive bit rate functionality by clicking the Settings tab and then clicking
Stream. In the Advanced section, do either of the following:
l
Enable Adaptive Bitrate by setting the Adaptive Bitrate toggle switch in the On (right)
position.
l
Disable Adaptive Bitrate by setting the Adaptive Bitrate toggle switch in the Off (left)
position. By default, adaptive bit rate functionality is disabled.
