5.5.2 Operation
Prepare and process lumened surgical instruments as follows:

Position Instrument Tray on tray elevator.
Insert 10 Position Terminal Block (see
Figure 5-11
) into Terminal
Block Retainer. Slide retainer over Instrument Tray rear wall.
Attach Instrument Support to Instrument Tray front wall with tips or
ends pointing down for drainage.
Connect Instrument Tubing to Terminal Block using quick-
disconnect side of tubes.
Attach large main tube to Terminal Block and to Large Quick-
Connect Fitting on underside of lid.
Position instruments as follows:

a. Position up to 10 rigid instruments into Instrument Tray and
connect Luer-Lock of Instrument Tubing to instrument luer-
lock connecting port.
Position instrument small end or point downward and resting
on bottom of tray for increased drainage.
Ensure lumen-end of instrument is in OPEN position.

NOTE: If instrument is not equipped with a luer-lock or another
type of irrigation port, use provided Reverse Flush Tubing.
Tightly attach tube over small end of instrument to allow sonic
action and back flushing actions.

At cycle completion, tray elevator and lid will automatically open.

a. Disconnect large main tube from Large Quick-Connect Fitting
from underside of lid.
Carefully move tray to RINSE/DRY Chamber and position on
tray elevator.
Connect large main tube to Large Quick-Connect Fitting on
underside of lid.

After rinse is complete,
Dryer Cycle
starts. Clean, dry, oil-free
air is directed through instruments while hot recirculated air is
passed over instrument’s exterior.
At cycle completion, tray elevator and lid automatically open.
