20 Configuring and Loading the Proofing Media
Loading the Carrier
When sending a job to proof, the carrier is loaded automatically, a message
appears asking you to place the carrier on the upper tray. However, if you
want to initiate the process then do the following:
To load the carrier in the upper tray
To load the carrier before submitting a proofing job:
1.
Load the carrier in the upper tray.
2.
Insert the upper tray into the platesetter.
3.
From
Routine Function ,
select
Loading Syste
m and click
Load Carrier
.
The carrier is loaded onto the drum.
To load the carrier after submitting a job for proof:
1.
When a message is displayed asking you to load the carrier, place the
carrier in the upper tray.
2.
Insert the upper tray into the platesetter.
3.
In the
Message
dialog box, click
OK
.
The carrier is loaded onto the drum.
Note: Using the cassette cover is not mandatory. You can use the DLC without
its cover. However, if the cassette cover is closed, open the DLC cover.
Note: Make sure to load the correct 4-up carrier when you want to expose 4-up
media.
