10. Air filter
Never operate the grass trimmer without an air filter. If the filter is damaged or dirty,
clean it or replace it.
Cleaning your air filter:
1. Loosen the screw on the hood of the air cleaner that holds the outer hood in place.
2. Remove the outer hood and extract the filter from under the inner hood.
3. Wash the filter with soap and water. Do not use gasoline!
4. Wring out the filter and let it air dry.
5. Replace the filter and assemble the outer hood with the bore facing downwards.
6. Make sure that the outer hood is stable and won’t come loose.
10. Fuel cap/ fuel filter
Remove all sources of ignition, spark, flame etc from places where fuel is mixed, han-
dled or stored.
Do not smoke during the re-fuelling or during the operation of the trimmer.
1. Open the tank lid using extreme caution and relieve the tension that might have
built up in the tank. Wipe up all spillage and drain all the remaining fuel into a
gasoline container.
2. Pull out the fuel hose- fuel filter with a bent iron wire.
3. Remove the fuel filter (twist the filter).
4. Place a new fuel filter.
Please note!
Never operate the engine without a fuel filter.
10. Carburettor set-up
The carburettor set-up is conducted at the factory for optimal effect.
10. Spark plug
Spark plug type: NGK BM6A or Bosch WS8E
Tightening torque: 12 – 15 Nm
10.6 Sharpening the cutting wire (on the trimmer protection)
1. Remove the cutting wire from the trimmer protection.
2. Place the cutting wire in a vice and sharpen the wire with a flat file, filing only in one
direction and being careful to maintain the pre-existing filing angle.
