GEO 10
Only the zero and full scale calibration procedure is described below, because it incor-
porates the zero calibration procedure.
Preliminary operations
- Place the stand in front of the central unit so that it is perfectly levelled and stable.
- Place the measuring sensors on the stand, each in its correct position (fig. 35).
- Level the sensors using the special spirit
level and then lock them into position.
- Switch on the measuring sensors and the
central unit.
- Select the calibration programme.
You will be asked to confirm the selection
made.
- Confirm with the F3
key
(to abort, use F2
).
Calibration
- Wait for the automatic zero setting of all transducers and the full scale setting of the
inclinometers
- Place the “high” shim under foot “3”
- Wait for the data acquisition
- Place two “high” shims under feet “1” and “2”
- Wait for the data acquisition
- Place the “low “ shim under foot “3” and then the “medium” shim under foot “2”
- Wait for the data acquisition
- Place the “low “ shim under foot “3” and then the “medium” shim under foot “1”
- Wait for the data acquisition
- Place the “low” shim under foot “3”
- Place the “medium” shim under foot “1”
- Wait for the procedure to finish.
Warning!
All the data acquisition operations take place automatically if the transducer values fall
within the established tolerance range; if this is not the case, the procedure halts and
signals the out-of-range condition.
Electronic Calibration Check
- This window is used to check the measuring sensors calibration (or the value read
from several transducers including possible electronic corrections calculated and
saved during the zero and full scale calibration).
- The window displays the calibrator with the measuring sensors fitted, each in its own
position.
