4. USE, CHARGING AND STORAGE
Use:
The solid waste refrigerator is ideal for
storage
of various food wastes in suitable
waste containers.
Charging and storage:
Store waste only after the required temperature has been reached (approx.
4 hours). In case of using several waste containers, it is recommended to
disperse the waste equally in the containers in order to guarantee optimum
refrigeration.
5. CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE / COMPRESSOR PROTECTION
FUNCTION
For hygiene purposes a periodical cleaning is recommended (once a month or
several times a month depending on frequency and purpose of use).
Solid waste refrigerators must be switched off
and mains plug pulled out before starting cleaning!
DO NOT
clean the unit with a high pressure cleaner!
Grease and dust deposits on the condenser reduce the cooling capacity of the
unit and increase the operating costs. Therefore - depending on degree of fouling
- clean the condenser ribs (see picture 4 on page 20) approx. every two months
with a vacuum cleaner, hand-broom or brush. To do this, the machine or
installation compartment door has to be opened. The condenser ribs are now
easily accessible for cleaning.
How to clean:
•
Upload waste containers with the food waste from the unit and store
them in a suitable location.
•
Clean the inside and outside with a mild soap water and whip dry
thoroughly. (Recommend once a month).
•
Clean as well door gaskets with mild soap water and whip dry thoroughly.
(Recommend once a week).
•
Check periodically if condensation flows unobstructed through the
drainpipe.
•
Switch on the solid waste refrigerator. As soon as the required
temperature is reached, put the waste containers in again.
