1. GENERAL INFORMATION
Congratulations! You have bought a high quality solid waste refrigerator. All
models are under permanent quality control. Please read carefully the following
instructions for use. This will allow a trouble free and long lasting operation.
Series AKM/AAKM:
Solid waste refrigerator with aggregate, built-in cooling
system, ready to plug-in.
Series AKO/AAKO:
Solid waste refrigerator without aggregate, for
connection to a central cooling system.
Please refer to our price list and catalogues for details of our various models
regarding dimensions, gross capacity, accessories, etc.
Attention!
Please check the unit immediately at delivery. In case of transport damages ask
the driver to confirm it on your delivery note as well as on his forwarders
documents.
2. INSTALLATION AND INITIAL OPERATION
2.1 Installation
If possible, unpack the unit only at its final location, remove plastic film and check
completeness of accessories. Inform your supplier immediately in case of any
reclamation.
Install the unit horizontally at a well ventilated, even spot. Avoid placing it next to
heat sources or direct sunlight. The location must be well ventilated and dust free.
The humidity should be max. 70%.
In case the unit is placed outdoors, make sure that it is protected by a weather-
proof roofing. It has to be fitted with a winter control. The floor must be even
(plan). Floor or ground irregularities must be equalized on site before installing.
Aspiration and blow out area of the installation compartment (ventilation slots)
must be kept free to ensure good ventilation. The ambient temperature should be

C and +32°C.
2.2 Initial operation
The solid waste refrigerator should be cleaned before starting the operation –
please see chapter 5 „cleaning and maintenance“. Please make sure before
connection that electrical current and voltage are in accordance with the
specifications on the nameplate. You will find the nameplate on the machine- or
installation compartment on the left side wall. (See hereto picture 4 on page 20).
