Homemade Yogurt
Makes 2 Quarts
1 Half Gallon of Milk (you can use whole, skim or 2%)
3 tablespoons of plain yogurt (the better the yogurt, the better
your yogurt)
Thermometer
•
Pour milk in the multi-cooker.
•
Press the power button, then press the steam function.
When milk starts to simmer (tiny little bubbles). Check the
temperature you want the milk to get to 180 degrees, but
not a full boil.
•
Turn off the power.
•
Leaving the thermometer in the milk, wait till the
temperature reads 110 degrees.
•
Whisk in the yogurt till dissolved.
•
Cover and select the yogurt function.
•
After 8 hours stir well. Pour into a container and chill
overnight.
