whichever comes Àrst. Only at that point should the dust collector Àlter be cleaned by opening
and closing the ball valve rapidly several times, thereby expanding a pulse of compressed air
onto the inner surface of the Àlter.
When Àtted with an automatic pulsed air cleaned dust collector, reduce the pressure
of the pulse regulator to 0 bar (see section 4.3.6). The timer will continue to pulse, but as the
pulse pressure is null, no cleaning of the Àlter will occur. Operate the cabinet without pulsing
for about two hours, or until visibility decreases, which ever comes Àrst. At that point turn the
pulse regulator to 4,5 bar, to start the normal pulsing cycle.
6. Troubleshooting
ATTENTION!
To avoid serious injury, observe the following when troubleshooting.
. Turn off the air, and lock out and tag out the air supply.
. If checking the controls requires air, always enlist the aid of another person to:
- Hold the nozzle securely.
- Operate the foot pedal.
. Never bypass the foot pedal or wedge it in the operating position.
. Never override the door interlock system.
6.1. Poor visibility
6.1.1 Poor visibility may be due to dirty Àlter cartridge. Empty the dust container
regularly. Inspect and replace the cartridge if necessary. It is imperative that the dust collector
Àlter be regularly cleaned (see section 4.2.4).
6.1.2 Fan motor rotating backwards. The motor should rotate as indicated by the arrow
on the housing. If it does not rotate in the proper direction, lockout and tag-out the power
supply and switch the motor leads as shown on the motor plate.
6.1.3 Using soft media that rapidly breaks down, or using media that is too Àne or worn
out can increase dust quantity and thus cause poor visibility.
6.1.4 Throttle valve for air suction closed too far, restricting air Áow in cabinet. Adjust
