Fuse replacement

If it becomes necessary to replace a fuse, make sure that only fuses of the prescribed type and nominal

current are used (see “Technical data”).

You must not carry out your own repairs to fuses or bridge the fuse holder.

•  Disconnect the system from the power supply (disconnect the battery).
•  Unscrew the fuse holder in the red connection cable of the display unit.
•  Remove the faulty fuse and replace it with a fuse of the same type.
•  Screw the fuse holder shut again.
•  Only then may you reconnect the system to the power supply and place it back into operation.

Disposal

Electronic devices are recyclable material and must not be disposed of in the household waste!

Please dispose of the product, when it is no longer of use, according to the current statutory

requirements.

Remove the batteries if there are batteries inserted and dispose of them separately from the

product.

Disposal of batteries and rechargeable batteries

As the end user, you are required by law (battery regulation) to return used batteries and rechargeable bat-

teries. Do not dispose of used batteries in the household waste!

Batteries/rechargeable  batteries  contain  harmful  materials  and  are  labelled  with  the  symbol

shown to indicate that disposal in the household waste is forbidden. The symbols of the critical

heavy metals are: Cd=cadmium, Hg=mercury, Pb=lead (marking can be seen on the battery/

rechargeable battery, e.g., underneath the refuse bin symbol shown on the left).

You can return your used batteries/rechargeable batteries free of charge at the official collection points of

your community, in our stores, or at places where batteries or rechargeable batteries are sold!
You thereby fulfil your statutory obligations and contribute to the protection of the environment.

Declaration of conformity (DOC)

The manufacturer hereby declares that this product conforms to the fundamental requirements and the other

relevant regulations of directive 1999/5/EC.

The declaration of conformity for this product is available at www.conrad.com.

Possible displays

(see section “Different scenarios” in the original instructions in english)
Normal:

The display shows alternately the pressure in both tyres.

A green LED indicates the position of the tyres in the display.

Pressure loss:

The pressure of the affected tyre is displayed and the position LED flashes red.

In addition, you will hear a beep indicating pressure loss. The beep interval will be

determined by the type of pressure loss (faster or slower pressure loss).

Excessive pressure:   The pressure of the affected tyre is displayed and the position LED flashes red.

In addition, you will hear a beep indicating excessive pressure.

Temperature alarm:   The  temperature  of  the  affected  tyre  is  displayed  and  the  position  LED  flashes

red.

In addition, you will hear a beep indicating a temperature alarm condition.

Battery warning:

The symbol “LO” appears in the display and the position LED of the sensor whose

battery is discharged flashes red.

Sensor error:

The symbol --- appears in the display and the position LED of the affected sensor

flashes red.

If a sensor error is displayed, recode the sensor (see section “Sensor coding”).

Sensor coding

The sensors have already been coded to the system at the factory. However, a sensor must be recoded

after it has been replaced.
(see section “Sensor programming” in the original instructions in english)
(1)  Press and hold the SET button five times until you hear a beep indicating coding mode.
(2)  Press the arrow buttons to select the tyre position where a sensor is to be recoded.
(3)   Screw the sensor to be recoded onto the corresponding tyre valve as described in the section “Sensor

Installation”.

(4)   The pressure of the corresponding tyre will appear in the display. Press the SET button to save the data.
(5)   Press the arrow buttons if there is another sensor to code and repeat the same coding procedure for this

sensor.

(6)   Press and hold the SET button for three seconds until you hear two beeps indicating that the data have

been saved successfully.

Replacing the sensor batteries

(see section “Sensor battery replacement” in the original instructions in english)

Keep batteries out of the reach of children.

Do not leave batteries lying around in the open; there is a risk of them being swallowed

by children or domestic animals. If they are swallowed, consult a doctor immediately.

Leaking or damaged batteries can lead to caustic burning of the skin. Therefore, use

suitable protective gloves.

Batteries must not be short-circuited, opened or thrown into a fire. There is a risk of

explosion!

Do not recharge normal, non-rechargeable batteries, risk of explosion!

Please pay attention to the correct polarity (plus/+ and minus/-) when inserting the battery.

Remove the batteries if you do not use the sensors for a longer period.

(1)  Push back the dust proof cover and loosen the lock nut on the sensor.
(2)  Unscrew the sensor from the valve.
(3)  Remove the special washer from the sensor.
(4)  Unscrew the sensor cap using the sensor tool supplied.
(5)   Replace the sensor battery with a new 3V lithium coin cell battery (CR1632). Please pay attention to the

correct polarity as shown in the picture.

(6)  Install the sensor again, following the steps described in the section “Sensor installation”.

Do not mix up the sensor caps when replacing the battery, as it could otherwise result in an

incorrect alignment of the front or rear tyre.

The battery life is approximately 2-3 years. However, this depends very much on the mileage

travelled. When the sensor battery is discharged, the symbol “LO” will appear in the display. In

this case, replace the battery as described above.

Checking the voltage supply

(See section “Battery Voltage Checking” in the original instructions in English)
(1)  Press the down arrow button to display the voltage supply.
(2)   Press the down arrow button again to return to normal display. If the voltage supply drops below the set

alarm value, the warning indicator flickers for 5 seconds and then switches back to normal display.

Maintenance and care

Regularly check the technical safety of the tyre monitoring system, e.g. for leaks at the sensors.
If it can be assumed that safe operation is no longer possible, the product must be turned off and precautions

are to be taken to ensure that it is not used unintentionally.
Safe operation can no longer be assumed if:
•  the display unit or the sensors show visible damages
•  the system no longer functions or
•  following considerable mechanical stress
Apart  from  replacing  the  batteries,  the  system  does  not  require  any  maintenance  and  should  never  be

disassembled.
Please use a soft and clean cloth for cleaning the display unit.
Do not use any chemical or abrasive cleansers. They may discolour the plastic of the casing or damage the

surfaces and the display cover.
