h) Trimming in the Model Helicopter
First start the transmitter, then the model.
Push the pitch stick from the bottom position (engine off) carefully forward and observe the response of your model.
Shortly before the helicopter starts hovering, you can already determine in which direction your model wants to move.
Tail trimming:
If the helicopter tries to turn to the right with the tip of the fuselage, reduce the rotating speed until the helicopter is
safely on its skids again. Now push the trim button for the tail function (also see figure 1, item 11) to the left several
times.
Push the pitch stick carefully forward and check if the adjustment was sufficient. Keep repeating this procedure until
the helicopter no longer has any tendency to turn to the right.
If the tip of the fuselage turns to the left, press the trim button for the tail function to the right.
Every push of the button will be confirmed by a short signal sound. The display shows the change of the tail
trimming at the trimming display (see figure 5, item 11). If the button is pushed and held, the remote control
will emit a quick sequence of signals and the trim display will move sideways more quickly. When the end
of the trimming range has been reached, the signal sounds go out. The trim middle setting is indicated by
a longer signal sound.
The set value for tail trimming is automatically saved and must be re-adjusted after each activation of the
remote control.
