- Do not misuse the product
- Store the product beyond reach of children and unauthorized people.
- It is prohibited to disassemble or repair the product yourself. Entrust product repair to qualified
personnel and use original spare parts only.
- Do not use the product in explosive environment, close to flammable materials.
- Avoid heating the batteries to avoid the risk of explosion and electrolyte leakage. In case of liquid
contact with skin, wash it immediately with soap and water. In case of contact with eyes, flush with
clean water during 10 minutes and consult the doctor.

Coating thickness gauge Paint PRO CONDTROL is designed for fast, precise and non-destructive
measurement of coating thickness of both ferrous metals (method of electromagnetic induction) and
non-ferrous metals (eddy current method).
This device can be used in production, in workshops, laboratories and quality control departments.

INSERT/REPLACE BATTERIES
Use a screwdriver to loosen the screw on the battery cover and then remove it. Install the batteries,
observing polarity. Put the battery cover back and use a screwdriver to tighten the screw. Use alkaline
batteries only, both batteries must be of the same brand with the same charge level. Charge level is
shown on display. Replace batteries when you see symbol on the display.
SWITCH ON/SWITCH OFF
Short press button to switch on the device. After switching on the device performs self-diagnosis
– “Self Test” is shown on the display. After the self-diagnosis is over the device is ready for work.

DISPLAY BACKLIGHT
After switching on the device, the backlight is on automatically. Short press button to switch on/
off the backlight.
MEASURING UNITS
Depending on the measuring result the device automatically switches between 2 measuring units - µm
and mm. If the measurement result is within the range 0…999 µm, the device displays the result in
“µm”. if the measuring result is ≥1000 µm, the device displays the result in “mm”.
SOUND INDICATION FOR MEASUREMENTS OUT OF THE RANGE

1) Automatic
The device automatically selects the appropriate mode (magnetic or eddy current) and measures
according to different surface types (ferrous and non-ferrous metals).
2) Magnetic
This method is intended to measure the coating thickness on a magnetic surface only (ferrous metals).
3) Vortex
This method is intended to measure the coating thickness on a non-magnetic surface (non-ferrous
metals) only.

This group stores the last 80 measurements. After the device is switched off, these measurements
will be deleted.

Each of these 4 groups stores the last 80 measurements, which will be stored in memory even after the
device is switched off and on again.

MEASUREMENTS
The device can perform 2 types of measurement:
1) Single measurement
In single measurement the device makes the first measurement and the result is fixed on the display.
2) Continuous measurement
This mode is used for continuous measurement without removing the sensor from the surface. The
measurement results are displayed dynamically on the display until the device is removed from the
surface.
Continuous measurement mode is set by default.
