Risk of burns! The adhesive and nozzle (1) reach a temperature of
up to 200°C. Therefore avoid any contact with the skin.
Wear protective goggles to prevent injuries to the eyes.
Wear protective gloves to prevent burns.
Fire hazard! Do not use inflammable cleaning agents or solvents to
clean the area to be glued.
The temperature of the materials to be glued and the ambient
temperature should be between 5°C and 50°C.
Clean all areas to which adhesive is to be applied.
After cleaning, check that the cleaned areas are clean, dry and grease-free.
Slightly roughen smooth surfaces.
Glue sticks are heated and liquefied in the hot-melt adhesive gun. The
following materials can be easily glued together and to one another:
Wood, plastics, foam, textiles, cardboard, tiles, ceramics, etc.
The adhesive can furthermore be used for filling holes or sealing joints.
The gun is intended only for domestic, not for commercial use.
All other applications are expressly forbidden.
Connect the power supply
1. Place the appliance on the bracket (6) provided.
2. Insert the plug of the power supply cable into a plug socket.
3. The appliance is switched on automatically as soon as it is connected to
the power supply. The LED lamp (7) comes on automatically when the
appliance is connected to the power supply.
Switching off the appliance
1. Place the appliance on the bracket (6) provided.
2. Pull the mains plug out of the plug socket.
3. The LED lamp also goes out as soon as the power supply is disconnected.
Risk of burns!
The adhesive and nozzle reach a temperature of up to 200°C.
Note:
Changing a nozzle with the appliance completely cooled could result
in parts being damaged as there are residues of adhesive in the nozzle and
the heater unit. The nozzle should therefore be changed when warm
(<50°C) wearing protective gloves.
Caution!
Remove the mains plug before starting to change the nozzle.
Preventive safety measures (removal of the mains plug, wearing of personal
protective equipment, etc.) reduce the risks of burns. To replace the nozzle,
first remove the rubber-coated protective cover over the nozzle. Use a
wrench to loosen the old nozzle and to securely tighten the new nozzle.
After fitting the protective cover, the hot-melt adhesive gun is ready for
operation again.
Anti-drip function
The anti-drip function which interrupts the adhesive flow is activated when
the trigger is released. Only a very small amount of the adhesive that is
already in the nozzle could drip out.
Gluing techniques
The following two gluing techniques have proven effective for optimum
bonding of different materials:
– Zig-zag lines on flexible materials such as e.g. textiles.
– Spot bonding areas on all other materials.
Immediately after gluing, press the two materials together firmly for approx.
30 seconds.
Avoid placing any loads on the glued surfaces for a further 5 minutes.
