Café Express Deluxe SE Refreshment Center Installation
5.
Set the Cambro containers onto the trays with the spigots to the outside of the vehicle and the back of the Cambro
containers to the back edge of the trays.
6.
Cinch the Cambro strap buckles half way from top to bottom. Adjust the straps by pulling on the loose ends of the
straps until desired tightness is achieved.
CAUTION
• A Cambro container full of liquid can weigh up to 35 lb (15.87 kg). Keep the container straps tight
enough to hold the containers in an upright position in case of a sudden stop or sharp turn, or both.
NOTE:
When loosening a strap for purposes of removing a container or adding liquid, manipulate the loose end of the
strap at the buckle to loosen the strap slightly before releasing the buckle. Releasing the buckle under full
tension can damage the buckle coupling components.
CANOPY FRAME INSTALLATION
The canopy frame consists of two independent frames that must be connected and fastened together. Each frame kit
includes three splice bars with hardware. These three splice bars will be inserted into each of the open frame ends and
bolted through holes provided in both the frames and bars. The complete canopy frame assembly will attach to the top
of the upper cabinets and the top of the windshield frame.
1.
Locate the three 12 inch long splice bars and the six 1/4-20 x 1-1/2-inch hex-head bolts and locknuts.
2.
Insert the three splice bars into the open ends of one frame assembly and attach with 1/4-20 x 1-1/2-inch
hex-head bolts and locknuts. Make sure the bolt heads are to the outside of the frame on the two side frame
locations. Tighten to 75 in-lb (8.47 N·m).
3.
Position the two canopy frames so that the splice bars from assembled frame are aligned with the open ends
of the other frame. Carefully insert the splice bars into the open ends, keeping the travel for each as even
as possible to avoid binding.
See following NOTE.
NOTE:
If necessary, use a rubber mallet to gently tap on the nearest cross tube to assist in assembly.
4.
Attach the remaining three 1/4-20 x 1-1/2-inch bolts to each frame tube and bar through the holes provided.
Make sure the bolt heads are to the outside of the frame on the two side frame locations. Tighten to 75 in-lb
(8.47 N·m).
See following NOTE.
NOTE:
Install the canopy frame with the channels toward the front of the vehicle.
5.
With an assistant, position the canopy frame (1) so that the cross tubes with pre-drilled holes align with the nut
inserts along the upper edges of the front and rear cabinet
(Figure 40)
.
6.
Secure the canopy frame (1) to the upper cabinets (2) using four 1/4-20 x 1-1/2 truss-head machine screws (3)
and four large diameter 1/4-inch S.S. flat washers (4)
(Figure 40)
. Apply a coat of Loctite #222® to each threaded
end of the bolts. Tighten to 50 in-lb (5.6 N·m).
See following CAUTION.
CAUTION
• Do not overtighten screws.
