GENERAL INFORMATION
Maximum tire life and good vehicle handling qualities are directly related to proper wheel and tire care.
• Keep tires properly inflated.
See Section 2 — Vehicle Specifications .
• Keep lug nuts properly tightened.
• Keep the front end aligned and adjusted.
WARNING
• Tires affect vehicle handling. When selecting a replacement tire, use only original equipment or
comparable tires.
WHEELS

WHEEL REMOVAL
1.
Disconnect the battery cables and discharge the controller as instructed.

2.
Slightly loosen the lug nuts on the wheel to be removed.
3.
Raise the end of the vehicle from which the wheel is to be removed. Make sure that the wheels are off the
ground.

4.
Remove the lug nuts and remove the wheel.
WHEEL INSTALLATION
1.
Install wheel(s) and tighten the lug nuts, using a crisscross pattern, until they are snug.
2.
Lower the vehicle and finish tightening lug nuts, using a crisscross pattern, to 55 ft-lb (74.6 N·m) for steel wheels
or 65 ft-lb (88 N·m) for alloy mag wheels.
