Resolution options
will vary depending
on the type of DVR.
RESOLUTION:
Set the main recording resolution for each channel. This does not affect the live view of the camera,
for example a 4MP camera will display Live with full resolution— but can record at a lower resolution.
SUBFRAME:
Set the recording subframe resolution for each channel. This affects the resolution of the video
used for remote searching (across the network) on the AVMS software and/or the CVMS mobile app. Additional
Subframe settings can be configured via the NETWORK > Subframe menu.
• Once the Recorded Resolution is set, the recorded video quality can not be
increased. Ex: 4MP (2560x1440) camera set to record at 944x480 will lower
the quality of the video when recorded.
• Higher resolution video takes up more space on the HDD, but provides more
detail. The lower the resolution, the lower the video quality/detail.
