Display OEM logo (Startup Menu)
Enable or disable ( enabled by default) the display of the OEM logo (if appli-
cable) during the POST process.
Fast Boot for Windows XP (Startup Menu)
Enable or disable ( disabled by default) the fast system startup option if you
are using the Windows XP OS.
Boot and SCU Passwords (Startup Menu)
You can set the passwords for when the computer starts-up (Boot Password),
and for access to the
SCU to make changes ( SCU password). See the sidebar
for a warning on setting the password.
Password Warning
If you choose to set a
boot password,
NEV-
ER forget your pass-
word.
The consequences of
this could be serious. If
you cannot remember
your boot password
you must contact your
vendor and you may
lose all of the informa-
tion on your hard disk.
