CAUTION! READ THE FOLLOWING INFORMATION BEFORE USING THE DEVICE OR LETTING YOUR CHILD USE IT.

CAUTION! Storing or using the device incorrectly may void the warranty.

CAUTION! This device is NOT a toy.

1.

CAUTION!

A small percentage of people (approximately 1 in every 4,000) may suffer from epileptic seizures or a

temporary loss of consciousness if exposed to flashing lights or visual sequences, even if these disturbances have never

emerged before. Anyone suffering from seizures, losses of consciousness or any other epilepsy-related disturbance

should consult a doctor before using the device. And if symptoms such as altered vision, ocular or muscular contractions,

vertigo, uncontrolled movement, loss of consciousness or orientation or convulsions should occur, stop using the device

and consult a doctor. To reduce the risk of a seizure to a minimum, please observe the following instructions:

•       Always use the device in a well-lit environment;

•        If you use the device for more than an hour, take a 10-15 minute break after every hour.

2. Keep the device away from dust and damp.

3. Do not leave the device in a hot place, like a locked car parked in sunlight. Also, to stop it overheating, do not turn the

device on and then leave it in an unventilated place (like a  sleeve or backpack).

4. Do not drop or knock the device, as this may cause the  hardware to malfunction and/or break the LCD screen.

5. Do not shake the device as this may alter the LCD screen viewing settings.

6. When using earphones, set the volume at a level that will not damage your hearing.

7. Do not disconnect the device from the PC during a file download or upload or when formatting, as this could cause

programming errors.

8. Do not take the device apart without the help of an expert technician.

9. Do not use alcohol, solvents or benzene to clean the surface of the device and use a soft cloth to clean the screen.

10. The device is NOT water-resistant, so avoid contact with water.

11.  Do not use your Clempad in places where electronic devices are forbidden, such as hospitals, airports and aeroplanes.

Using the device in these places may interfere with, cause malfunctioning and possibly damage important

equipment. Always abide by all regulations governing the use of wireless devices in special places.

12.  The device may emit radio waves that could interfere with the correct operation of other nearby electronic devices,

including artificial cardiac pacemakers. If you are a pacemaker patient or if you use any other medical device, do

not use the wireless connection unless you have consulted your doctor or the manufacturer of the medical device

in question. When you are using a wireless network connection, always keep the device at least 25 cm away from

pacemakers and other medical devices.

13. Always backup your files. The manufacturer will not accept any liability for the deletion of files following a

fault or when repairing the device.

14.  The manufacturer reserves all rights to the technology and design of the device and is in no way responsible for

informing the user about new versions or new designs.

15.  Before transporting the device make sure you turn it off and disconnect any external peripheries, such as USB flash

drives to avoid damaging the connectors.

16.  The shockproof silicon case, if included, will not prevent the device from being damaged if it is knocked or dropped

as it is designed to protect only the parts it actually covers from being scratched or dented.
