6.2.12 Adjusting the spring tension
Figure 31 Adjusting the spring tension
For heavy add-on tools, e.g. the Driven Disks or the Rotary Cultivator, the RADIUS SL PLUS is equipped with an
additional retracting spring, which supports the rapid evasion of trunks, poles and piles.
For the adjustment process, first loosen the lock nut item 1.
Ensure that the spring retainer item 2 is secured
against twisting during the entire process.
Now the pretensioning path and thus the spring preload can be
adjusted by means of the adjusting screw item 3. The desired pretensioning path is fixed by tightening the lock
nut item 1.
The spring force to be adjusted must be adapted to the conditions on
site and to the add-on tool used The lowest possible preload of the
spring results when the piston rod of the working cylinder is completely
retracted and the spring windings have a spacing of approximately 1
mm from one another. (Figure 32). The spring must always be
preloaded so that it cannot slide out of the suspension eye.
6.3 Dismounting from the tractor
Attention:
When leaving the tractor for mounting, dismounting and making adjustments always switch
off the drive and engine.
Remove ignition key!
Secure the tractor and machine against unintentional movements (e.g. rolling away, lowering,
etc.).
Observe the relevant accident prevention regulations and all other information given in the
operating instructions!
When attaching or removing implements to the tractor do not step between tractor and
implement!
The machine/implement is designed for permanent attachment to the tractor.
If, however, it should be necessary to dismount it, this process must take place on a dry, level and firm or load-
bearing surface. Ensure that the implement is secured against toppling over. Before starting to dismount, make
sure that there are no persons under the RADIUS SL PLUS or in its immediate vicinity. Observe the accident
prevention regulations.
6.3.1 Shutting down the machine/implement
When the unit is taken out of operation (end of the season, installation of another unit), complete cleaning must
be carried out. Remove all connections from the tractor. Secure the implement against any form of damage
(tipping over, etc.).
The storage location should be protected from solar radiation and other weather influences.
