(1) Using Cleansui for the First Time
Preparing the Pitcher

Wash the pitcher, the funnel and the lid well. Wash these items with a clean sponge and neutral
kitchen detergent. Make sure all detergent is thoroughly rinsed off after washing.
Forbidden: Do not wash the cartridge with the detergent.
Preparing the Filter Cartridge

Take the cartridge out from the
bag and peel off the blue film.

Rinse the filter cartridge with tap water.

Insert the cartridge into the funnel
and press in it to the position until
it stops.

Fill the pitcher 2/3rd with tap
water.

Set the funnel with the cartridge into
the pitcher and place the lid on the top.

Let stand for 20 minutes.

Pour out the water that has collected in the funnel
and the pitcher.

Fill the funnel to the water line with tap water and then allow it to filter naturally by
gravity.

Once the water in the funnel has been
filtered pour away the water that has
collected in the pitcher.

Repeat procedures #8 and #9 twice more (for a total of 3 times.)
(2) General Usage

Fill the funnel to the water line.
Do not fill past water line.
Failure to observe this may result in tap water (unfiltered water)
mixing in with filtered water.
Attach the Lid

For great tasting filtered water, replacing the cartridge every
26.4 gallons is recommended. Simply set the calendar dial
on top of the lid to track when to replace the cartridge.

Stand the pitcher up straight and allow filtering to take place.
Make sure that it is stood so that water does not leak out when stored in
a refrigerator, etc.

Apply pressure to
slide the lid forward.

Slide it until it clicks
into place.

Grip the serrated areas on both sides of
the lid, and then align the lid with the
grooves in the pitcher.
