Connecting the Drill to the Tractor
HYDRAULIC CONNECTIONS
The following decal can be found located on the front of the drill seed hopper. These decal’s specify the
corresponding hydraulic connections and their appropriate colour coding.
The return hose must be
connected before any hydraulic services are operated.
Connect the hydraulic hoses to the tractor spools in their relevant pairs. The

inch ISO female coupling
(freeflow return) with 18L male thread supplied with your drill
MUST
be connected to the rear of the
tractor. If necessary consult your tractors operators manual for correct freeflow connection on the rear
of the tractor ( Max 5 bar ). The free flow return pipe cannot just be inserted into the filler cap as the oil
cannot return to the pump sufficiently quickly on many tractors.
IMPORTANT
THE HYDRAULIC FREE FLOW & CASE DRAIN SERVICE
MUST BE PLUGGED IN PRIOR TO THE DRILL BEING
OPERATED FAILURE TO DO SO WILL RESULT IN
DAMAGE WHICH IS NOT COVERED BY WARRANTY.

Incase of difficulty knowing the correct connections available on the
rear of your tractor consult your tractor operators manual or Claydon
dealer immediately for assistance. Failure to connect tractor to drill
correctly can result in serious damage to hydraulic components on both
drill and tractor.

Do not change the
1
inch ISO on the free flow return to a difference size
as this could cause damage to the fan motor. The fan free flow return
cannot be connected to the tractor ISO.
