8. Fuses
8.1 Checking the fuses
If the meter does not respond
when measuring current,
the fuse has probably blown.
Checking the fuse:
1. Connect one of the test
leads to
.
2. Set the function selector
to .
3. Measure the resistance
across
and
, if both show
< 0.5 Ω then both fuses
are okay.
Warning:
Make sure the test leads are
disconnected from the circuit
being tested before replacing
the fuses.
8.2 Changing the fuses
The meter is protected by two fuses:
• (1 ×) fuse 1 A F (Fast blow) 240 V (6 × 25 mm).
• (1 ×) fuse 10 A F (Fast blow) 240 V (6 × 25 mm).
1. Turn the meter off and
remove the test leads.
2. Remove the three
screws holding
the casing together.
3. Remove the back of
the meter to access
the fuses.
4. Replace the fuse with one
of the identical type and
specification.
5. Screw the casing
together again.
