Selecting PAGE MODE

[Outline]
Switches from STANDARD MODE to PAGE MODE.
[Caution]
• This command is only effective if it entered at the beginning of a line.
• This command is not effective if it is entered when in PAGE MODE.
• STANDARD MODE is restored when printing specified by FF is finished or when
ESC S is issued.
• The character mapping start position will be the point specified by ESC T in the print
area specified by ESC W.
• The commands listed below, which have separate settings for PAGE MODE and
STANDARD MODE, are changed to the settings for PAGE MODE use.
(1) Spacing setting:
ESC SP, FS S
(2) Line feed width setting:
ESC 2, ESC 3
• The following commands are valid only in PAGE MODE.
(1) ESC V
Specifying/canceling 90°-right-turned characters.
(2) ESC a
Aligning the characters.
(3) ESC {
Specifying/canceling the inverted characters.
(4) GS L
Setting the left margin.
(5) G3S W
Setting the print area width.
• The following commands are disabled in PAGE MODE.
(1) GS ( A
Executes test printing.
(2) FS P
Prints NV memory bit image.
(3) FS q
Defines NV memory bit image.
(4) GS v 0
Prints raster bit image.
• ESC @
restores STANDARD MODE.
