IP Dual Port PBXgateway and Remote System Administrator’s Guide
92
Edit Non-active Configuration Files
The PBXgateway and Remote can be used in different applications requiring different
parameters. You may need to set up separate configuration files to accommodate custom
parameters for each application.
The ability to modify any non-active configuration file enables you to quickly set up new
units based on existing configuration parameters.
To edit the “active” configuration file, use the “Configuration” menu. Go to Gateway
(Remote) ->Utilities->File->Edit Config
Type “r” for a Remote file or “g” for a Gateway file.
Select a configuration file from those available files. Press Enter.
Modify the parameters as required.
Select “save” and press Enter to save changes.
A message is displayed asking you to confirm that you want to save your changes to
the file you selected earlier. Type “[Y]es” to save the changes to that file, “[N]o” to
discard your changes or “[S]pecify” to specify a different file name
Creating a New Configuration File
To create a new configuration file go to Gateway->Utilities->File->Edit Config.
Type “r” for a new Remote file or “g” for a new Gateway file.
Select <new file> from the list.
Type a name for the new file. Do not add an extension – that is added automatically.
Press Enter.
File names must be a maximum of 12 characters.
Modify parameters as required.
Select “save” and press Enter to save changes.
A message is displayed asking you to confirm that you want to save your changes to
the file you selected earlier. Type “[Y]es” to save the changes to that file, “[N]o” to
discard your changes or “[S]pecify” to specify a different file name
