Modem Card Does Not
Work
With a PCMCIA modem card
installed in one of the slots,
the TouchStar does not
receive a dial tone.
Possible Causes and
Solutions
Check to be sure the modem
card is firmly seated in the
PCMCIA slot. Check the
modem setup strings in the
software package used with
the modem card. Check the
telephone line connections.
TS3000 Does Not Com-
municate with the Net-
work
The TS3000 is operating, but
does not communicate with
the network through its
hard-wired connection.
Possible Causes and
Solutions
Check for cable breaks,
shorts and bad crimps using
a cable scanner. Check for
electrical interference. Check
the security ID and domain
station type.
TS4000 Does Not
Communicate with the
Network
The TS4000 is operating, but
does not communicate with
the network through its
wireless connection.
Possible Causes and

Check that the antenna
connection is secure. Replace
broken antennas or cables.
