Removing a Gateway Slot Blanking Panel
To remove a blanking panel from a gateway slot, perform the following steps:
Step 1
Properly ground yourself to avoid potential ESD discharge and damage to the hardware.
Step 2
Facing the data connection end of the Cisco SFS 3504 Server Switch, slide both wire latches on the
blanking panel inwards while pulling the panel towards you and out of the chassis.
Caution
Do not leave the slot empty. Replace with a gateway module immediately, or install a blanking panel in
the empty slot.
