Fibre Channel Gateway Card
Installing a Fibre Channel Gateway Card
To install a Fibre Channel gateway card, perform the following steps:
Step 1
Properly ground yourself to avoid potential ESD discharge and damage to hardware.
Step 2
Remove the blanking panel from the slot if it is present.
Step 3
Insert the Fibre Channel gateway card completely into the gateway slot.

for orientation of the card. The two ejector levers must be pulled towards you and all the
way out.

Step 4
Close both ejector levers simultaneously and completely.
Push both ejector levers inwards and lock securely with the spring locks (see
Figure 4-4
).
