Chapter 3 Options for the Cisco TelePresence System 1000
Cisco TelePresence Presentation Codec
Step 17
Attach and route the cables between the CTS 1000 and presentation codec.
shows you the cabling diagram for a CTS 1000 with a presentation codec.
Caution
To prevent the codec powering off after a meeting, do not plug the presentation codec power cord into
any of the Switched outlets in the auxiliary control unit. Plug the codec into either the PDU, an electrical
outlet, or the single outlet on the auxiliary control unit that is marked “UNSWITCHED”.
Note
If your CTS 1000 does not have an auxiliary control unit, route the Ethernet cables for the Primary Codec
Signal connection directly between the codec and presentation codec. If your CTS 1000 has an auxiliary
control unit, you must disconnect it from the wall to make the Ethernet connections.
