Connecting I/O Controller Cables
Warning
To avoid electric shock, do not connect safety extra-low voltage (SELV) circuits to telephone-network
voltage (TNV) circuits. LAN ports contain SELV circuits, and WAN ports contain TNV circuits. Some
LAN and WAN ports both use RJ-45 connectors. Use caution when connecting cables.

The console and auxiliary ports for the Cisco uBR7200 series universal broadband router are located on
the I/O controller. The I/O controller also has an optional Fast Ethernet port with a media-independent
interface (MII) receptacle and an RJ-45 receptacle. (See
Figure 3-12
.) This section contains connection
equipment and pinout information for the console, auxiliary, and Fast Ethernet ports on the I/O
controller.
