GETEST
Instructions Manual
Regardless of the type of test, the auxiliary ground must suffice to allow for correct
measurements to be taken.
A bad auxiliary ground adds series resistance to the circuit, which reduces the
performance of the device, thereby limiting the capacity to inject current.
If you try to take the measurements with a high auxiliary ground, an Error message
appears on the application screen, warning of this situation.
Do not use the ground spikes supplied with the device as an auxiliary ground spikes.
442- STEP VOLTAGE
Step and contact measurements are made in places where dangerous voltages may appear in the
event of a ground fault in the installation.
To carry out the measurements it is necessary to follow the following steps:
1-
Connect the current injection cables as shown in section “
4.4.1.- CONNECTION OF THE HARDWARE
2-
Connect the terminals of the
GTEST Probe
measurement electrode to the
GETEST
voltage meas-
urement terminal (
Um
) using the cables supplied with the device.
Note:
Never connect the electrode to the current injection terminals.
3-
Place the electrodes on the surface, with the metallic side in contact with the ground.
The placement of the measuring electrodes must be performed in such a way that they are 1 metre
apart, simulating the passage of a person.
