Warranty terms
The warranty terms are listed in full in the purchase contract and are only valid if the
bicycle is used under the intended use conditions.
Except for the ordinary and extraordinary maintenance operations described in the
MAINTENANCE sect. and performed with the procedures indicated, any repairs or
modifications made to the bicycle by the user or by unauthorised companies will result in
the warranty being declared null and void.
The warranty does not cover damages caused by incompetence or negligence in the use
of the bicycle, or by poor or omitted maintenance.
23.1.
The Esperia pedal assisted bicycle is covered by a two-year warranty on
malfunctions due to manufacturing faults for wear-free mechanical parts and
electrical components, excluding the battery.
23.2.
The validity of the warranty will commence from the date of purchase (the date
on the tax receipt and the guarantee certificate will constitute proof of purchase).
23.3.
The battery is covered by a 12-month warranty. Except in case of short-circuiting,
water infiltration, tampering, battery chargers not approved by Cicli Esperia SPA, or
due to improper or negligent use.
23.4.
The warranty does not cover ordinary maintenance costs or wear parts such as
tyres, rims, bearings, brakes, bulbs, chain, and other components which wear down
easily.These components will be replaced at no charge should a defect be found
within thirty days of the purchase of the product.
23.5.
Damages due to normal wear and tear and to driver negligence are not covered
by warranty.
23.6.
The warranty does not cover theft or shoplifting.
23.7.
Improper use of the product (for example: off-road, overloaded, excessive
uphill effort, etc.) causes the automatic warranty annulment.
23.8.
Failure to observe the rules contained in this instruction and maintenance
manual will invalidate the warranty.
23.9.
Any warranty repair works must be requested EXCLUSIVELY TO THE
AUTHORISED ESPERIA DEALER Should you not be able to find a dealer available,
please contact the Esperia Service Centre , which will supply the address of the
nearest authorised sales point.
23.10.
Any modification to the electrical and / or mechanical system of the bicycle will
immediately invalidate the warranty.
23.11.
In case of any warranty repair work, the customer will deliver the bicycle at
his/her expense to the authorised Esperia dealer, who will in turn send it directly to
the manufacturer.
23.12.
The warranty certificate and the pre-delivery coupon must be sent to the
distributor Cicli Esperia SPA, viale Enzo Ferrari 8/10/12, 30014 Cavarzere (VE),
within 10 days of the date of purchase (the postmark will be proof).
