3 Connecting the Controller
This section discusses how to prepare your controller for operation. It provides a detailed look at the controller
chassis and its various components, instructions on how to connect various sources and how to power the
controller.
3.1 Grounding the Expansion Chassis
Connect the expansion chassis to a reliable earth ground. Install the ground wire in accordance with local
electrical safety standards. Refer to
Grounding the Expansion Chassis, on page 1-2 .
3.2 Connecting the Expansion Chassis to the Controller
Connect the expansion host card (controller) to the expansion slave card (expansion chassis) with the
specialized cable provided. The connectors and cable are keyed.
