Startup
1.
Verify all Pre-start Checks have been completed (see page 10 and 11).
2.
Insert the key into the generator keyswitch .Turn key to "Preheat" for 10 seconds
(Do this only under cold weather conditions).
3.
Turn key switch to “Start” to start the engine. If it does not start in 10 seconds repeat,
step 2.Once the engine starts, turn the Key to "Run".
4.
Set the generator circuit breaker (up) to On. The generator is now supplying power to
the load.
5.
View the ampere and voltage meters on the control panel. Adjust voltage regulator to
change voltage, if necessary. Total ampere should not exceed the maximum capacity of the
generator.
6.
Listen for unusual noises, vibration, or other indications of abnormal operation. Check
for oil leaks and evidence of overheating.
