3. Tighten the lower anchor attachments and the
top tether. The child restraint instructions will
show you how.
4. Push and pull the child restraint in different
directions to be sure it is secure.
Front Seat — Regular/Extended Cab
without Rear Seats
Your vehicle has a right front passenger’s airbag
and a passenger sensing system. The passenger
sensing system is designed to turn off the right
front passenger’s frontal airbag when an infant in
a rear-facing infant seat or a small child in a
forward-facing child restraint or booster seat is
detected. See

2. If the child restraint manufacturer’s instructions
recommends that the top tether be attached,
attach and tighten the top tether to the top
tether anchor. Refer to the child restraint
instructions and the following steps:

top tether anchor. See

the cover to access the top tether
anchor.
2.3. Route the top tether according to your
child restraint instructions and the
following instructions:

are using has a fixed
head restraint and

single tether, route
