Chapter 4. Controls
Name
Enter the device name used to identify the control on the menu tiles, alarm messages etc. The
name can be up to 25 characters.
Display
Setting used to determine if device tile is shown on default main menu screen. Options are
“Show’‘or “Hide”
Enabled
Select whether to enable or disable the control device.
Process Signal
Select whether to use a signal input to control the device process run/stop state.
Controls in process stop are inhibited or paused. Options are “Disabled” or choice from a list of
signal inputs.
Start Delay
If a control is enabled and not in a process stop state, it can be in one of three states;
started, running or fail. If a start delay is set, when a control is enabled or comes out of a process
stop, it enters the mode specified by the start mode below. After the start delay has elapsed the
control will automatically move into the run mode. The time specified is in HH:MM:SS.
Start Mode
Select the start mode if a start delay is specified. Options are “Off”, “Manual” or “Auto-
matic”.
Run Mode
Select the run mode. Options are "Off", "Manual" or "Automatic".
Fail Mode
If an error occurs the control will enter an alarm state and switch to the mode selected here.
Options are “Off” or “Manual”.

This variable is configured via the user interface of the HydroAct 4. To access the configuration go to:

Options to select the control process variable are:
Sensor
Select from a list of sensors.
Parameter
Select from a list of parameters.
