Measuring - The Run button
When a cassette has been loaded and inserted into the instrument, the
measurement is activated, by pressing the Run button.
5.3.1 Actuator movements
When Run is pressed, the actuator moves the piston rod down through the cylinder
of the cassette. Hereby, the sample/dye mixture is transported to the cassette
measurement chamber. The form and dimensions of the flow channels facilitate
effective mixing of sample and stain. Se nsors monitor sample flow. When the
sample has been correctly loaded into the measurement chamber, the piston is
stopped.
5.3.2 Result presentation
The analysis will occur after a few seconds and the fluorescent image is recorded.
Once recorded, the image is ana
lysed by the instrument’s internal software. Upon
completion of the analysis, the result is shown on the display. The entire process
takes approximately 30 seconds.
